Bullnose is the most common: its rounded edge is comfortable to sit on and grip. Drop edge gives a thicker look, while straight and eased edges suit modern pools.
What thickness should outdoor pavers be?
2 cm pavers are typically laid on a concrete slab or pedestals. 3 cm (1.25 in) or thicker suits sand-set patios and pool decks. Driveways need thicker stone and an engineered base.
What is the difference between honed and tumbled travertine?
Honed travertine is ground smooth and flat for a contemporary look. Tumbled travertine has softened edges and an aged surface that hides wear and gives grip underfoot.
Which pavers stay cooler around a pool?
Lighter colors stay cooler in sun. Light travertine, limestone and marble are popular pool deck choices; a tumbled, brushed or sandblasted finish adds slip resistance.
How is artificial turf specified?
By pile height, face weight, gauge, backing and stitch rate. Shorter piles suit high-traffic and play areas; taller piles look like a full lawn.
